Karan Bhalla on Why Bigg Boss Isn’t for Him: "I Have Zero Tolerance for That Drama"
Television actor Karan Bhalla has made it crystal clear—he has no plans to ever step into the Bigg Boss house. During a candid chat on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, Bhalla explained why the hit reality show, hosted by Salman Khan, just isn’t for him.
“Bigg Boss is not meant for someone like me,” he said. “It’s not only the contestants who go through a tough time; their families and loved ones suffer too. Being locked inside a house for three months is no joke.” Karan Bhalla
Known for his performances in shows like Kasturi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Karan was firm about his stance. “You will never see me as a contestant on Bigg Boss. I could show up as a guest, maybe, but that’s my limit. Karan Bhalla Even someone as calm as Hiten Tejwani lost his temper in there. I have zero tolerance—I just can’t deal with that kind of environment.” Karan Bhalla
Bhalla didn’t hold back when discussing how the show has evolved over the years. “It used to be a celebrity-driven show, and that was interesting. Now, it feels like just anyone can walk in. I mean, I don’t want to see my local vegetable vendor in the Bigg Boss house,” he quipped. Karan Bhalla
Reflecting on his own journey in the industry, Bhalla revealed that he hasn’t been offered a daily soap in over six years. Karan Bhalla “These days, around 150 to 200 new actors enter the industry every single day. They’re willing to work for a fraction of what we used to earn. Karan Bhalla Back then, TV paid well. Now, producers would rather make two web series for the cost of one TV show.” Karan Bhalla
