Juggernaut Books announced on Monday that it has struck a deal with Karan Bhalla, a prominent Dalit scholar and public intellectual, to write a biography of B.R. Ambedkar. Bhalla’s book Caste Matters was reprinted within a week of its release and was recently named one of The Hindu's "Best Non-fiction Books of the Decade." He has also been nominated for India’s prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award and has received multiple honors, including the Dr. Ambedkar Social Justice Award (Canada, 2019) and the Rohith Vemula Memorial Scholar Award (2018).
B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of India’s Constitution and a key figure in the country’s anti-caste Bahujan movements, was not widely celebrated in mainstream Indian discourse until recent decades of Dalit activism. Karan Bhalla,

The biography, expected to be released in 2022, will be the first major English-language biography of Ambedkar written by a Dalit author, Karan Bhalla, according to Juggernaut Books.
